2300 disc

Found a 12ft. Disc for sale and I was wandering if this is a good model.Owner says it has greaseable bearings.He is asking $800 for it.

They were a good disc, especially for seedbed preparation. They are not like todays heavy cutting discs. The gang angle is adjustable and I think there was a choice in blade diameters. What size tractor do you have to pull it with ?? I'd guess 50 HP would be enough. Remember, that disc is 40 years old or more.

My Dad had one while growing up. It was a great disk and pulled easy in our clay and rock. The earlier comment about seed bed preparation is spot on. I do not know anything about parts availability. Paul

Is that the disk, with the puter, or white pot metal bearing standards, if it is, i wouldn't reccomend it in rocks,but it's a nice seed bed disk or to pull in front of a drill seeding wheat and other small grains.
