Allis B Amperes Guage

Just put a new amperes gauge on my 1951 Allis B. Just wondering if anyone could tell me what it should be reading when the tractor is at Idle. Still 6 volt system - positive ground.

Thanks!

It will most likely read "0" at idle as generators need som RPM before they put out enough to close the cutout relay. The light switch has
three settings , at low charge setting and at medium RPM it typically 1-2 amps. At high charge it typically puts out 10-13 amps depending on
where the third brush on the generator is set, it is adjustable. When the switch is set and lights are on the gauge will probably show "0" or
+ 1-2 amps. If no working lights it will be same as high charge. There is no regulator just a cut out relay you manually set the charge rate
either high or low charge.
