Friend gave me a plow that is missing the assembly that attaches to the tractor, the tongue is there but just two holes at the end of it. This is a trip plow that the front has rubber tires and the tail is steel. A picture would be great or route me to where the pics are and a model number if possible. thanks chris

Thought someone with a manual would have responded by now. Can't help you much but that just about has to be a #2 plow. I pulled one for years with a WC, good old plow. I googled "Allis Chalmers plow #2" and got lots of pictures but none of the hitch. Surely someone on here can come up with a picture of the hitch. Good luck, Harry

Go to the implement section, someone just posted a picture of a trailer plow he refurbished,

Looks like a plow as you described, rubber tires with steel trail wheel,

If it's the same brand of plow you have, I certainly see what you are talking about, the complexity of the hitch,
Why would it have to have that many parts to pull a plow,

Worth a look see on the implement section, was just posted, he did a great job refurbishing the plow,
Who knows he might have some spare parts or could make you some pictures,

That is a fine looking restoration, but I don't think it is an Allis, paint looks IHC. Also those complex hitches were a break away (disconnect) mechanism, if you hit a rock or stump it would keep from breaking a share or mold board, or springing a beam. When they got old, the springs would get weak and trip when you hit a tough spot, so were eliminated.
