wd hard time to shift into gear

got a wd hard time shifting it into gear. some times shifts great but most of the time not. adjusted clutch up, pedals better but still
grinds the same. i can see there looks to be plenty of clutch material. it was previously a loader tractor just wondering if the trans
could be wore out or should i just put a clutch in it.

I got my Dad's WC after it had sat idle for several years. After I got it running the gears would grind really bad when putting it in gear. Found the trans. was really low on grease, topped it off and had no more gear grinding. Check your trans grease level.

Are you trying to shift it with it moving as you would with a car or truck? WD were made to start out in what ever gear you are going to be using. such as put it in 4th if you're going down the road before you start out. You should not shift from 1st to second then to 3rd and finally to 4th. That is how mine is and is what the manual states. Just my thoughts Keith

Put the hydraulic lift lever in the up position and see if that helps. If it does help, I would say your pressure plate fingers may be getting to the end of their life.
