Reworking the front end of WD 2 wheel narrow front, need seal # for the hubs & where to get the bottom bearing of the pedestal THANKS FOR ANY HELP!!

the only place I could find the correct pedestal bearings for my d17 was the local Agco dealer. would guess that what you need will be dealer item only.

Try searching the archives of this sub-forum, it seems like someone made a list a couple years back, of everything needed for your project. (With part numbers)

Go to www.agcopartsbook.com and look up the parts book. You can find the part numbers and a GOOD supply place can cross them.

I tore a WD front end a part about eight years a go. There was
one bearing. And I think it was the bottom one. Was a special
Allis Chalmers bearing. The rollers were cone shaped. Allis
wanted $300 for the bearing. I searched everywhere and came up
dry. I ordered the $300 bearing. The bearing was in a warehouse
down south. I live in Nebraska. Allis Chalmers charged me $60
for freight.

The bearing in the lower end of the spindle shaft was AC numbers 209933 cone and 209934 cup. But after serial #WD59987, they became 224908 cone and 224909 cup. I am thinking the earlier bearing had barrel shaped rollers and the later had cone shaped rollers. But it could be vise-versa.

The hub seal is just a felt do-nut clamped between 2 washers. An auto parts store should be able to locate a CR #596 for you.
