Allis Chalmers 180 Power Director Lever

I bought a 180
The power Lever is tight and hard to Move don't know much about the Tractor. I know that's how you go from H to L and stop and keep the PTO working. Any suggestions?

There's a spring loaded detent under the cowl. Try lubricating that.

Spring loaded detent needs oil, yes. Also work in some oil at the pivot of the lever as they get pretty dry there too, especially if they aren't kept in a shed. WD-40 with a stinger works good for both.
