180/190 power director

Ive been looking at the parts diagram for the two tractors about their power directors. They do not interchange do they? I have two spares for a 180 and seen a 190 that needs a pd and was checking to see if they interchanged.From what I see they don't. But I wanted someone with some experience to tell me what the real difference is. I grew up red,but iam really starting to like these 180s simple and nice driving thanks. Steve

A 180-185-190 are technically the same. The 190XT and early 200 are the same. They have 9 discs total where the lower HP have 7 discs total. Unless you are planning on plowing, chiseling and more than 120 HP, the lighter clutch would work. However, I myself would prefer to rebuild any clutch before using it. New seals and all new driving discs of p/n 70261212 which are the heavy-duty discs that will never split/break in two.
