1949 d grader question.

Yes...the kill switch is the ground, in it"s mounting to the tractor, so if the kill switch has just one terminal, one wire from the magneto, connected to the terminal, will shut off the tractor. That"s how our 1947 WC was set up.
 

There isn't a switch, just an old wire terminal screwed to the magneto, so I assumed it is to ground the magneto for a kill switch.

I'm going to mess with it a little more today. I'll post some pictures if I get it running and out of the trees.
