A couple AC Model C questions

Hey guys. I've got a 1942 AC Model C I'm working on and have three questions. First, in the attached picture, There are two levers (marked in yellow arrows). The left lever starts the PTO and the Belt pulley. But I can't tell what the right lever does. Insights? also how does a guy adjust the slop out of the steering and does anyone have a schematic showling all the grease zerk locations? I don't have an owners manual b/c we will probably be selling it once I get through with fluid and tire changes. Any insights are very appreciated. Thanks.

Your picture did not show up but I will almost bet if both levers are close to each other one is the PTO and the other is the hyd control lever. As for slack in the steering it has a lock nut and screw head bolt you tighten to tighten up the steering like most older cars and truck had

Old is right on the second lever. My boys C steering is bad inside the front pedestal. Haven't taken it apart to see what's wrong. Also check the nut on the steering box. It can come loose and give some play in the pitman arm.

Well thats weird. The pic showed up before I posted it. Okay. I was wondering if it might be a hydraulic control lever. And I'll have to look and see if i can find the adjustment bolt.

The right lever, mounted close to the right fender, is the hyd control...just follow it back to where it goes. Left lever goes to the gear case behind the differential, and controls the pto/belt pulley.

1942 should be a gemmer gear box. Gear mesh is adjusted on the left side of the tool box. Behind the gear box brace are three slot headed bolts with locking nuts the bolts are actually an eccentric cam and move the two halves of the gear box to adjust the gear engagement. If you have a Ross gear box the adjustment is a single slot head bolt with lock nut on the right side of the tool box. You'll need to take the starter off to get to it. The front pedestal is adjusted by disassembly and removing shims. If the play is in the link rod you just replace it there is no fix for worn tierod ends and its a one piece unit.

Wow. Okay. I haven't been able to find any of it. Probably because I was looking at the front end not around the tool box. Okay thanks

Okay that makes sense. The reason I haven't found it out it's because I don't have any Hydraulics looked up to it LOL
