Hard start when warm WC

My 1936 WC will not crank start after it has been shutdown when warm. Does not matter if I turn off the gas and let it run out, or just use the kill switch on the magneto. It will start when pulled or pushed... It has an American Bosch Mag on it....MJC4C-302. Any thoughts or help???
I talked to the man I bought it from and he said it probably was the condenser???

Be sure the plug wires actually have wire in them and not graphite or something. Had that on a B several years ago. Not saying that's the problem but one easy thing to eliminate.

Growing up in the 50s, we had a WC and a model C like that....no start with the battery, but would pull start in a few feet. Once I even pull started the C with the WC by myself...now that is a circus, granted, dangerous....Both times, mag rebuild cured it.

I changed the plug wires to solid copper core when I bought it 6 years ago. I put non resistor plugs in it 2 years ago. It starts better with the non resistor plugs, but still in hard to start when warm.

ivor from UK here and I remember my uncle telling me that starting a fordson when warm was nearly impossible but he is no longer here

Ok jms. I really need to hear the story complete of how you pulled the c wid the wc alone. Believe me bro I've needed to do such many times....so I'm all ears! Thanks, Dana

We have a 37 WC with crank start only. Starts easily when cold but can be a real bear warm. So I can relate.
Last year as the July 4th parade was starting it wouldn't start (of course), so we pulled it and in just a few feet it fired off.
For this reason I always bring a chain.
So if you figure this out be sure to let us know.
