WC oil fill on governer

Hey I have a 1947 WC I just inherited from my grandfather and am restoring but there is 2 oil fill caps what do I do with the one on the governer?

you can fill the engine from that one or the one on the valve cover, either one will work

Your lucky you have both. My W Speed Patrol which is based on the WC only has the oil fill on the gov.

The one on the governor is a LOT more convenient.

The cap on the valve cover is actually a vent...should have a steel mesh in it. It should be cleaned with solvent occasionally. Would be very inconvenient for adding oil, unless the hood was off. The cap on the governor is where you fill engine oil.
