WD-45 Crank and Rod Clearances

We had our WD-45 crank turned and a rod repaired because we spun a bearing. more to the story but I am trying to find out the following.
Crank clearance I think the machine shop told us 0.0013 to 0.0043
Rod bearing clearance? they didn't tell us that one.

You need to be very concerned about two things: #1. correct positioning of the piston pins (so they don't cut a groove in the sleeves) and#2. proper shim stacks at each main bearing cap (should start out with .010" with a fresh crank and new bearings). If you don't get these two things right, all your work will be a waste of time and $$$$$$$$$$$.

I stopped to Tractor supply last night and they had the IT shop manual and I picked it up. been a while since I bought one and I was sticker shocked! I brought it home and it Looks like it will have what I need to plastigauge and set this back up.
Thanks
Chad

Say chad plastiGauge isn't that tough to do, but if u have any doubt, there a couple of you tube video's where a guy is checking the crank etc, on a 350 Chevy, The one guy, Dave is pretty cool, explains everything, a perfect teacher.

Thanks I will watch it tonight when I get home. My brother has done it and is good with all the tolerance stuff he does calibration work for his job so that will help.
Thanks again!
