AC 6040

Looking at an AC 6040, not many made it seems. Are parts readily available for these? I think it was made in France.

Also any idea of value, looks pretty good condition 1780 hours on tach.

6040 is the updated 160 only around 500 built.Pretty good tractors but carries the baggage all low production tractors carry to keep running.Prices are all over the place on tractors like that but I'd guess if it runs and operates good $2500 to $3500 range.

I have a book with one picture of a 6040. It looks different than the 160, though the book says it's the same tractor under different sheet metal.
160 was a great tractor, and very popular. But I understand parts are a real challenge.

Is the 6040 a Fiat like the 5000 and other 6000 series? My 6060 is a Fiat with an Allis engine.

6040 isn't a Fiat and I think your 6060 is an Allis with a Fiat engine,I say that because it has the bracket on the front that keeps the crank shaft from coming forward which was
a problem on the earlier Fiat engines.

6060, 6070, and 6080 are AC engine, Fiat drive train.
