What is the correct color for an Allis Chalmers WD Pan Seat? Would the WD45 Pan Seat have the same color?
I am looking at one that is all orange. Take a look http://www.ebay.com/itm/262875174117?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2648

Some I have seen have white and orange, and some just have orange, and some have grommets in the center. The one above ties from the back, and has no grommets but is made in USA.

What seat covers do you prefer?

Thanks,
AC WD Seat Cover

Allis Chalmers never really had a cover for the pan seats most farmers around here never put a cover on their pan seats. I would think any orange would work. Some Allis Chalmers after market sell these orange and white seat covers. I went with a tan cover on my WD45 which had a little more padding than than the orange and white.

Mighty Nice picture..!!

How much restoration did that one take..?

I have one off my Grandad'e 63 acre farm that is Low Hours and nicely original...

When I bought this tractor the gentlemen I bought it from had did all the major work on it. The tractor had a new clutch, fenders, toolbox, manifold, battery and battery box, wiring including key switch and light, tires like new, complete new seat shock absorber with spring, steering wheel, radiator.new gauges and hoses and belts. I did some adjusting of things and rebuilt snap couplers along with a new tail light and pre air cleaner. I did a little body work on grille and painted and decaled it. Here's a before and after picture ( the 3 1/2 stainless stack has a modified muffler inside and I have a stock muffler).. I have found out that nelson is making the original muffler again.

The nelson for WD 45 can be bought direct through Nelson Global but don't know if they make one for the diesel.

The true diesel muffler has a taller outer shell of muffler but the 45 gas might work. I would look up Nelson and find phone number and give them a call. I have a picture of WD45 diesel with what they tell me is the correct muffler and a picture of my Wd45.

Maybe my tractor has a gas muffler on it. The pipe on mine is longer than the one in the photo you posted. Dad bought the tractor in 1974. It had a new short block and rebuilt head. It still has the same Nelson muffler. The Stanley mufflers on my other tractors barely last a year.

My muffler is either rusting out at the bracket or it is just loose. Ill check it out closer and will definitely call Nelson if it needs replaced. I thank you again for the info.

wd45 gas and diesel use the same muffler.diesel exhaust cross over pipe sets higher under the hood than the gas manifold did making the muffler appear longer on the diesels.same part number for gas and diesel in the agco parts books..70229531
