In an D 17 Allis with power steering what type of fluid is used?

The manual says 20W oil.....I filled mine with Hytran hydraulic fluid.
I don't use it much in the winter but when I do and it is really cold, the steering becomes slow 'til it's warmed up.
If I ever change the fluid again, I think I'll use Dexron II ATF.
