D17 distributor rebuild

I'm thinking of rebuilding my D 17 distributor there is some wobble in the shaft. Is this a complicated job? The shaft bushing and shims seem straight forward enough. Any advice would be appreciated on this rebuild.

The two Delco Remy distributors I have recently rebuilt were easy enough after getting the pin out that holds the drive gear on. I ended up carefully drilling it out I
think, but I might have carefully filed off the peened over head and pressed it out. I do remember making a skinny support to hold the gear between the teeth and the
distributor casting. This part I put in a drill press vise which held it upright under the arbor press. I do remember making a new pin on the lathe to a light press fit
and carefully peening the ends when installing it. It seems like I do remember drilling a hole in the support block (a piece of steel mentioned above with a U shape hole
in one end to support the gear when working on it in the press) to accept the pin as it was pressed out so maybe I did press it out. Anyway, the easy part is pressing out
the old bushing and pressing in a new one. The two I did had porous bronze bushings and a 1/8"npt plug in the side of the distributor to oil the bushing. I pumped in a
few squirts of oil after pressing in the bushing.
