Difference between B and C allis chalmers

i own a 1945 b, I believe the rear wheels to hubs were diff, b had single nut and c had circular pattern of lug nuts, c had narrow front or adjustable, b had arched wide front, also believe due to wheel spacing, the c was dubbed two row capable, while the b was single row, Mabey more gears or diff drive gear ratios for the c, off the top my head, Dusty.

C is about 1 foot wider in the rear axle. Rear hubs are different as noted. B will usually have an arched front end, C will usually have a narrow front or adjustable wide front. Steering
boxes are different too as I recall. It's common to see a C with a B front end but it's a really useless combination in my opinion, having a 5 foot wide front end on a 6 foot wide rear
end. They're fun, cute little tractors. I had one for a season before trading it for a Farmall H, and if I had more space and money I would have kept both.

Actually, the LATE Bs [u:d2feaba9af]could be had [/u:d2feaba9af]with an adjustable wide front end similar to the optional one on the Cs and with the same dished rear wheels.
The steering drag link on the C was above the steering box centerline and the one on the B was below.
As was mentioned, the rear axle was wider on the Cs than on the Bs making them truly a two-row tractor. All of the EARLY Bs had flat rear wheel centers attached with one big nut and a cast iron "arched" wide front axle. Some of the very early Bs were equipped with the arched axle that was adjustable by moving the individual left and right axles in or out at the lower end of the spindles.
