7020 powershift? Good tractor?

Has power shift. Looking ofr a tractor to replace the 1086 for planting and certain other tasks. 1086 is just too rough riding for my back. Found an Allis 7020 with about 1400 hours on engine rebuild. I always liked the style of these series. How are they , any major isssues to be aware of? Its a black belly, heck I dont know, maybe all 7020's were black bellies. Please share your knowledge, i'd appreciate it

They were generally a good tractor as there were two locally years ago. The local dealer brought out a 7045 to demonstrate when they were in production and I thought it was fairly comfortable to operate. I have heard that transmission parts for the power shift and power director are getting hard to find for most older AC's.

Dad had a 7030 and never had a problem with it, I liked running it.

We ran a 7020 with power shift(leased it) never had a problem with it except the AC went out, they fixed it the next day. Used it to disc, and plant with.

Good tractor, although 40 years old. It does not replace a 1086 for power. Just be aware of that. They were 120 HP and a 1086 was 135 HP and way more.
