a friend of mine has a allis chalmers /fiat 10b dozer. The left track quit driving, right one is fine. I am trying to learn more
about how the drive system works to see if i could help him. It does run a torque converter so that might explain which drive
train it has. is there a good place to start diagnosing? do the steering clutches allow track to drive or stop track for steering?
would the same hydraulic system be used for both left and right? Any help would sure be appreciated

I'm not real familiar with the new ones but on the old ones if the clutches go out you lose drive on that side just as if you release the clutches to turn.
