The manual says 20 weight and you can still use it. Hydraulic oil is OK, most now use "tractor lube" a combination hydraulic oil and gear oil. Most farmers back when WDs came out didn't have hydraulic oil and it wasn't as common as today so they specified just 20 weight engine oil. And "tracaotr lube hadn't been developed yet.
 
Case/IH hytran goes in the rear end and hydraulics of my B. Been using it for 20+ years.
 
For a WD I'd buy the cheap "303" and fill it. Its better than the nondetergent 20W that was used when it was new and you can't get oil cheaper than that stuff.
