Removing B Oil Pan Question

The oil pan gasket on my B was leaking, so I ordered a new one. Got all the bolts out of the pan, but I can't get it off the bottom of the engine. Do I need to remove the bolt that holds the axle to the frame to get the pan off?

Thanks,
Tim

Just turn the wheels all the way to the right and finesse it off. That should work. Im restoring a B now. I plan on removing the axle assembly to change front timing cover gasket and seal. I need to change my oil pickup at the same time. Good luck

Years ago I put on a picture of two pans that I had taken off two different B's. Corner ways one was longer than the other. The longer one from one corner to the other I had to loosen the bolts about 1/2" so the front axle could be pried forward. The shorter pan corner to corner would rotate to miss the pivot bolt to drop down.

I was able to wiggle the pan out after turning the wheels all the way to the right. I am not sure exactly why that helped, but it did. Now I just need to get it back on.
