That is the old mechanical lift usually for a cultivater. Most plows of the time were rope trip. It operates off the transmission so the tractor has to be moving. The belt pulley mount in a hole just to the front of the lift.

That is the lift for the cultivator. It works sort of like a plow clutch. Press pedal once, the cultivator goes down, press again for up. When cultivator is removed, that part is just left on the tractor.

Below is a link to diagram that shows the mechanical lift.

If the link doesn't work, just go to the on-line AGCO Parts Books, click on "Guest" to view.
Type in WC for Model. Choose the 2nd heading in blue; Book: 79001545
Scroll down about 2/3 the page to POWER LIFT - WC TRACTORS.
and click on that name. The diagram will show up and the parts are shown on the right.

If you need to look at a particular area,
hold mouse cursor over the lower left corner of what you want to view and drag to the upper right.
When you release the mouse button, it will zoom in to that window.
Actually, any rectangle can be made....doesn't matter where the start and end are.
(Took me a while to figure that out)
WC Power Lift

..after posting that, I see that the link takes you to the WC assembly listings; not the Power Lift itself.
So, just use the steps above starting with
"Scroll down...etc"

If you have the traction release lever, you can raise the cult without the tractor moving. Engage the transmission with the lever down, and you can use the lift. Works great when you trip the cult at a bad place, like inside a shed, or up against a post. Early lifts had teeth on the outside, and a wrench to hand lift the mechanism.
