Hydraulic lever on WD won't move

Hello everyone,

I am working on getting our family WD going so I can plow snow this winter. It's been sitting in the weeds for five years and I started to tear into it a few weeks ago. With a few parts, it's running good now. But I can't get the 2 point to go up or down. It was working when we parked it, but the lever on the pump isnt moving now. I can get the lever on the frame side of the pumo to move a hair each way, but not enough to do anything. The quadrant, lever, and linkage are free and moving good. Any information will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your time,
Austin

Before winter it would be good to drain some hydraulic oil and some transmission oil out as there probably some water in each cavity which could freeze, then the tractor won't move.

Yeah make sure there is no water in any gear box or system. The boot on the shift lever is
important here too. The plates in the hydraulic linkage on the pump can rust together. They are
locked together for some functions with a screw, see the decal on the side of the battery box, if
it is gone your manual will tell you. You may need to use some gentle force to get them free or if
free to get the controls to move if rusted.

I'd unhook the levers from the pump and try to get everything moving individually. It's possible the spools are inside the pump are rusted up. Sitting (espesicially outside) is harder on these tractors than being used.

I soaked the parts for a few days and worked it up and down with a brass punch and hammer. Soaked it some more and it is working well now. Thank you for the help!
