A co-worker has a 190XT diesel. Runs fine, doesn't overheat or lose water when running but when shut down the radiator dumps water into the crankcase.
He's wondering if he has a crack in the block or a sleeve or is there something else he needs to look at. Thanks

Just an educated guess but sounds like it has a bad head gasket and when it is running compression keep the coolant out but when shut down there is no longer compression so the coolant flows into one or more cylinders. I would pull the radiator cap off while running and see if you get combustion gases and maybe even a bit of a spray form the radiator
