I have recently purchased a 5015 tractor for my garden. I hooked up a 5 ft tiller behind it and the lift will not pick it up all the way and is making a squeeling noise if I try to pick it up all the way. Yesterday the lift quit working altogether. Is this tiller too heavy for this tractor or could something else be wrong? The tiller weighs 650lbs

Make sure the draft & depth levers are set in the right position.
If in doubt, it would be worth it to get an operator's manual

Or maybe someone can copy the page that talks about it. Jensales has them too.

The level of oil is ok. found a hydraulic filter that didnt know about . I will try to change that this weekend. Thanks for your help

Finally changed the filter. It did lift the tiller up after I primed the pump but it would not go back down. I moved the draft screw out about 1 turn and it went down and now it wont lift it again. Again oil level is good and a new filter has been installed.
I raised the lift lever up and down but still nothing. I also moved the draft screw in and out all the way and nothing. Any ideas would be appreciated.
