170 Allis Chalmers Gas

Where would I look for information on the 170? I need an alternator. I ordered one with the place for the tack included. But it is a China made and I am not to happy. Wondering how accurate it will be! Anyone replaced the alternator on a 170?

The alternator usually comes without the gearbox on the back for the tachometer and no drive pulley. Those parts you transfer over from your old unit. Accuracy will be exactly as it was before if that's what you're doing to make the tach work.
