I'm back to working on the 1957 D17 where I thought I needed to replace the front crankshaft seal. It turned out to be the round oil pan gasket. This tractor has power steering so to me it looks like I needed to move forward the front part of the tractor to get at the oil pan bolts. So I did just that and order the pan gasket kit. Was there a better/easier way? While I'm waiting I'm going to replace the fan belt plus on this tractor it has a front mounted hydraulic pump driven by a shaft that is splined (6 Splines) coming from an adaptor that is mounted up to the engine pulley that will accept the splined shaft. I need to replace both the adaptor and shaft as they are worn. Could some help me with what these parts are called and where would I begin to look for them?
