Hey folks. My dad owns a 1942 AC Model C. He was worried about checking the final drive grease. I pulled the two plugs from the bottom of the (big gear housing) on each side of the tractor. Nothing came out so we need to fill it. Is 80 weight gear grease sufficient?
Also I checked his transmission grease/fluid from the check/fill hole on the left side of the transmission housing. I could see plenty of fluid in there, but it was a pale yellowish color. Is that okay and if not how do I change it and what do I fill it with?
Also he plugged the hole in the back that had the original lightweight hydraulic cylinder hooked up to it. I'm assuming it used the same fluid from the transmission? If not then I need advice.
Thanks folks
