1938 WC PTO

After my grandfather passed away I acquired his 1938 WC. I would love to use this tractor to cut 8 acres of CRP but the tractor does not have a PTO. How much would it entail to put a PTO on this tractor? From what I can tell from pictures it looks like it is a box that bolts on the bottom of the transmission and then a pillow block that supports the shaft on the rear and a handle that engages/disengages the PTO. Also the hitch is slightly different. Is it that simple or is there more to it? Thanks for the help.

Its that simple. Just remember, you have no hyd lift and it's not a live pto. Step on the clutch and you lose it all. For sure need a good slip clutch on the mower and an over running clutch on the pto.

OK thanks! Good to know about the over running clutch. I am going to go on the hunt for the parts I need.

I have a WC parts tractor but not sure of what year it is so do not know if the PTO parts from the unstlyed that you have would be the same as this later model one. E-mail is open
