7060 air conditioning problem

Got a new to us 7060. Previous owner said the air works but have
to add free on once in awhile. It was updated to the 134a at
sometime. Anyways I added 3 lbs of free on. The clutch on the
compressor runs and works. The low pressure line got cold and
frosted up. But no cold air in the cab. The high pressure line
doesn't get hot at all. Its like it's not circulating. I tried to
look in the window on the reviever dryer for circulation but can't
see through the glass. I then shut tractor off and later started
it and now the line doesn't get cold anymore. Could a sensor be
bad or a plugged dryer? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

Sounds like the expansion valve is plugged. You'll have to evacuate the system and flush. Replace the expansion valve and drier. Vacuum down and recharge.

Sounds to me like you're not using a set of GAUGES. Hard to diagnose problems without accurate numbers. Sounds like a blown-up dryer that plugged the expansion valve. Hose between the two will need to be flushed.

(quoted from post at 09:00:21 08/27/16) Is the expansion valve under the cab roof? Not too familiar with Alli's Chalmers ac system.

Yes the Exp valve is under the roof. The drier is under the rear of the cab on the step side of the tractor.

It sounds like too much Freon. The bubble normally do not clear up with R134A. You need to use gages.
