Marvel Schebler Carburetor

A question for you guys that worked on WD 45's. Is the M-S carburetor number TSX 464 the direct replacement for the number TS 264 carburetor? I have rebuilt
IH carbs and to me they are easy to rebuild. I have read that Marvel Schebler are hard to rebuild is that true or is that a bunch of bull?

I'd rather work on a MS than a Zenith especially the smaller ones.As well as I remember the TSX 464 is the right one for a WD-45.

That 464 is the correct carb as per my old catalog. As for rebuilding them the MS carb is as easy if not easier then a IH carb is and I have rebuilt many of each

Old & Traditional Farmer I put a kit in carburetor and you guys are right they are an easy carb. to work on.

The big thing with the M/S carb is making sure that brass tube that sit in the venturi is clean and all the holes in the side are open. I use a torch tip cleaner tool to poke out all the passageways when I rebuild a carb

That's what I used was the cutting torch tip cleaner tool and it does a great job.
