Allis B cuts out

Have had this 42 B for some time and has preformed well enough for me to plow and cultivate and even mow with for some 10 years. It doesn't want to start everytime without a bit of cranking. I've had trouble with the wiring on, and haven't replaced it but the crank always works. 6 volt system still performing on it as it should.

Used it to clean up the garden with the cultivators this past Saturday. Worked fine as it has through one field. Went to the other to do corn rows and finished off the rows one way. Went back through the corn in the other way up the field again. It's my last time in the field with the corn wanted the rows clean. Ran good till last two rows and she started to spit and sputter. Thinking it is low on fuel I got it back to it's parking spot. Backed to the spot and out it went. Nothing other than it just sputtered out and died.

Was hot Saturday so it got up to heat fast but for the time I ran it, it would have been that heat for some time so if the coil was to be bad it ought to have died much earlier in the day if it was caused by heat. Had gas and gas is not old. So not stale or bad. Just not sure what it is that causes this to happen. The tractor will not start till the temp gets below 120? ever unless you pull it a mile and then it would start. Been that way from day one I've owned it. Can't jump it to start it as again it needs to be cool to do anything. I thought it was the coil but a mag swap with a working tractor didn't change the issue so that is kinda ruled out. Just can't figure out what it is. Is it timing that could cause this #1 to not start and #2 to run poorly? Any ideas guys. Not stumped but not sure what's causing this. There are many things that can do it but what is first and foremost the issue to begin looking into?

Probly dirt in the fuel system some where. Take the plug out of the bottom of the carburetor and drain out a couple cups of gas. If it runs out good remove the power jet and see if it is plugged. If it does not run out good then remove the gas line from the carburetor and see if it flows well there. If it still does not run well then remove the sediment bowl from the tank and disassemble it and clean it.

Good ideas. I'll check the cap. Not how dirt would have gotten in under the cap or in some hole but who knows. The carb plug? Not sure what you are talking about. I can't remember seeing one on either B type I have. I have both the Marvel and the Zenith carb but don't remember a plug.

The one marked (drain cock). Dirt can be a term for anything other than gas that has collected in the system. Most of the time it is rust fines which is cause by season changing weather. Some times it is crappy gas from setting.

This is what I found from bad gas.
