WD Rear Tires

Ouch if your talking new as in I have seen them in the $300-500 range and up to around $100 to mount them depending on who and where. I do all my own mounting and repair but then I did at one time do that for a living so I know how to do it and even have info as to how any body can do it for ma manual I have and I have passed that info on to more then one person and can do so again if you want ti just send me an e-mail

Thank you Old. The $300-$500 is funny when one can buy a used WD-45 for 1500-1800. I guess I'll have someone mount it when I get to that point. If I guy buys 'used', how does he know he's getting a good tire. Should a guy just buy new so he gets some kind of warranty? Thanks again!

I know thaey are not the same size, but I just bought 2 12.4-24 Forerunner QH611 rear tires and tubes for my WC for $494.00. From my local Co-op. But, I am an employee so I got a 10% discount.

That was mounted on my rims but I took them off the tractor and took them to the Tire Center. It is $150 just to get the truck to come to the farm to change them on the tractor.....

Round, black, and holds air is good enough. Used ones are out there for $50 and up depending on tread life. Lot of pullers switching to bigger tires so might have luck there. New is pricey, but good to last a lifetime. Don't forget tube price when pricing new. I just had a tire pulled off of one rim and put on another. Needed a boot and new tube. That was $185 with the labor. Odds are that $500 WD has junk rims so you'd get the pleasure of buying or fixing rims to put used rubber on. Lot of combines used 14.9x28 as rear steer tires so an Ag salvage yard might have some good tires.

When you buy used at best it is a crap shoot. Buying new well as I said you have to pay and now days it is high. A lot of times the condition of the rear tires makes for the price of the tractor

14.9X28 8 ply made overseas should be bought --put on for around $350.00 each. I just checked with 2 of my old suppliers. Don't take the rims off the tractor and drop them off at a tire shop. Take them the whole tractor. They are soo much easier to change if the rim is on the tractor.

Just checked with a 3rd supplier Firestone SAT-2 23 degree should be bought -- put on around $415.00 each. These prices do not include a tube or pumping fluid.

New 11.2X28's plus new tubes and new 10:00X28 rims was $750.

I didn't buy the best tires on the market, they are Alliance made in India. I think they were $202 each, because I don't use my tractor for a lot of heavy work. Just blading the drive , cleaning out the horse barn, and a little fun with plow and cultivated. I'm sure they will out last me.
