Where do I find the serial number on an ALLIS 20 -35? Am helping a neighbor liquidate his inventory of 80 Allis tractors and want to confirm that his is a 20-35!

It is on rear axle of tractor. I think it is either just left of the shifter or underneath the seat base. I am not near mine to give you the exact location.

When the Allis-Chalmers E 18-30 was re-tested in 1921 at 930 RPM, it produced a rated 38 belt horsepower. The tractor was re-named the 20-35.
