D14 Transmission Dipstick

I have inconceivably lost the transmission dipstick. I remember faintly removing it to check the oil. Now it is gone. I've checked most of the usualy places for a replacement but had no luck. Could anyone help me out? If not the part, perhaps a picture so I could make one.

Thanks,

Denny

Robetrs Tractor has a used one if your tractor is an early model, below serial number 19001.
http://www.robertstractor.com/Allis-Chalmers-Hydraulic-Dipstick_p_2803.html

The part numbers, are 70-228568 below serial number 19001 and 70-232540 for serial number 19001 and up.

If you have not done so, you can post to the Allis Chalmers Forum, there are a lot of parts guys there.

I have no picture but the stick is 9 & 1/4" long with 1" marked for the range level of the oil...so with oil level full it's at 8 & 1/4" from the bottom of the cap. The width of the stick is 5/16". I trust this is easy enough to understand.

I lost one transmission dip stick on my old Ferguson so when I bought the replacement I place a small chain on it with enough length to properly check the oil level, never lost it again,
However I did find it hanging by the chain a few times, on the Ferguson it is easy to catch your shoe on it as you are getting off the tractor, only way I ever figured how it could be pulled out,
