Model b won't charge

I'm having issues getting my model b to charge. The old battery died and I had to replace it. I'm very new to 6v positive ground systems. After the fact I realized my generator was bad and had it fixed. After I put it back on it still won't charge. I checked my wires and they are all connected and good. Just trying to figure out why I'm not getting juice through my 2 stage charging switch to get the amp meter to move. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If a genny shop repaired your generator theres a good chance it got polarized at NEG ground but your tractor is POS ground. I would polarize the genny and hope your regulator wasn't damaged in the meantime.

Use a jumper wire to momentarily flash/jump from the BAT terminal over to the GEN/ARM terminal and you should get a spark. Do that BEFORE you start her again. Same thing is accomplished if you jumped form any hot ungrounded battery voltage source (like on the BAT terminal) direct to the gennys ARM post.

The Voltage Regulator (or a cutout relay) needs a good ground to work.........Make sure the gennys case has a good clean ground to the tractor frame also.

If polarizing the genny doesn't cure the problem, work through my Troubleshooting Procedure linked below
