WD45 oil pressure

I don't own a WD45 but a friend of mine has one & was telling me his oil pressure gauge isn't registering any pressure. What pressure range gauge should he have? He has one that reads low-med-high. Is there any adjustment on the pump to adjust pressure? Thanks

Should be 10-15 lbs. Take the filter off and make sure the tube is still there and not broken off. Make sure the filter is spun cotton and not pleated paper. Think you can run it for a few seconds with the filter off to see if there is oil at the tube. Pressure regulator is on the right side of the block. Should be an 1-1/8" plug at about frame level. Spring and plunger behind it. Plunger needs to move freely.

The AC tractor of that day where low pressure oil system and used a back pressure filter to build pressure. As said it could be a problem with the tube missing that fits in the filter or the wrong filter. I use the Wix Brand 57011 filter on all my A/C tractors and I have 5 plus of them

A worn engine of that era can have low pressure but still have flow. I have seen a B with NO oil pressure when it was warm and working, but it still had flow and ran for years. A 45 at about the same time that was 10-2 years old and had been run a lot wasn't that bad but when warm it wasn't any too high. The book for a WD says 12 psi.

I like to know the pressure reading,
I found a 20 lb gauge for my D14, motor was in good shape,

so my pressure ran just above the center of the gauge all the time,
around 10-12 pounds.

may not be a problem, disconnect the line to the gauge and fire her up, oil should shoot out the line, to clear the line, install a new 20 pd gauge,

hope that is all the problem.

I have a wd45 and the gauge has no numbers but just a normal range and needle runs between the M and A on gauge cold or hot.
