WD oil pump

A guy has a wd for sale & says the oil pump ruined the gear on the camshaft. Any idea what a cam & pump would cost? This site doesn't show it.

Should be able to find those used for well under $100 for the set. I'd want to see before I bought parts. There is a roll pin that holds the gear on the oil pump. Cam could be just fine. Need to drop the pan to verify.

Interesting story. I've worked on those for nearly 50 years and never saw that ever happen before. Anyway, so if that is true, I'm sure he's run it long enough to ruin the main and rod bearings from no oil pressure. I'm sure he didn't see the oil pressure just drop. He heard the engine start clattering and then noticed zero oil pressure. I'd guess a couple hundred bucks would find a good used oil pump and camshaft from a salvage yard.

In the pictures, the pan is off. I asked about the tires & they are old & weather checked but hold air. He still wants $800 for it as is. I will pass.
