Thermostat & Some Gaskets for a CA

Would anyone happen to know where I could purchase a replacement thermostat for my CA tractor? The one that came out of the tractor looks weird. I presume it to be an original one. It works, but would rather replace while I have everything apart.

I also need to locate some new gaskets......the thermostat housing gasket (between the 2 halves), and the water pump-to-block gasket. I was able to make a homemade gasket for the thermostat housing-to-block location. It was easy enough to hammer out, but I figured the others would be better to purchase them.

That would be fine with me, but If I have to order the gaskets then it would be nice to get them all in one place. UNLESS the auto parts store could get the gaskets too?

(quoted from post at 19:10:31 06/09/16) I usually go to a NAPA and match up the diameter and temp , make gasket.

I would do that for a "standard" thermostat, but this one looks like a funny shape and height so I'm scared to use one of those generic style ones. I've also seen different ones offered for the same tractor and not really sure which one is correct. None look like the one I took out.

I could make the gasket with a ball pein hammer and some gasket material, but I thought since it was kind of an intricate gasket that it would be easier if I just paid a couple of bucks for one.

Can anyone help me out with the part number for the correct thermostat, that will cross at a Napa or O-reilly Auto Parts store???

If you want AC parts try Sandy Lake, talk to Brenda, a knowledgeable parts woman. The thermostat
will work no matter what it looks like if it fits. Just make sure you put it in with the
temperature sensing bulb down towards the engine.

Does this model require a special spring, retaining device, or spacer ? Who knows what has been put in it over the years. I only removed a thermostat but wanted to make sure that's all I needed in there.

A good parts number that will cross at a parts store would be nice if you guys know one.

Agco still carries them, also requires a spring and
thick cork gasket. If you don't want to go to agco,
you can go to agcopartsbooks.com and get the part
numbers. Sign in as a guest user, doesn't seem to
work on a mobile device.
