allis chalmers B oil filter

As long as the tube is still in the middle of the filter base and extends up to it's point AND the filter is a cotton string and NOT paper, then you are good to go. A few years ago the "correct" number from one of the major filter companies had paper inside. The cotton fiber is needed for back pressure. With paper you won't develop enough oil pressure.

I sent you an e-mail about that since your other post would not let me answer you here. I use the Wix 57011 filter. As one of the other guys said make sure the tube is still in place when you remove the old filter because some times it likes to stay in the old filter. The A/C tractor use a filter back pressure thing to build oil pressure so you have to use the correct filter or you will not have oil pressure

I will not look for you but I will tell you how to find it. Look in research and info on the left then serial number then A/C and then B and see where your serial number fit in and that will tell you the year. I prefer to teach some one how to do something then to do it for them

Well each year has a starting number if you know how to do math you simple figure out where your serial number fits between each year. As an example if say year X starts with #1 and year Y with #10 and you have #7 it fits in the first year made etc
