Well now that i have all the parts and the Diff is back together , I cheated on this one due to working involvement . after some serious studding this i cheated big time . I really tried to save the spiders but that did not go as planed . Now being that i am not a Allis man what i found was the pin was weled in the carrier on both sides as i come to find out that this tractor has been down before with rearend problems . So i seat there grinding out the C shaped weld thru some of the hardest weldment i have had to grind out , well with a big drift and a 10 pound sledge we tried to get the shaft to move . Nope that ain't ah happening . So we cut the shaft just a hair about the gears and let it set and cool over nigh and tried again the next day , now we are only trying to drive out of one gear , Nope still will not move , so we add a small amount of heat . warmed the gear up to around 250 according to the heat gun and still nothing SOOOooo i end up having to cut the spider gears all the way out . Once out i started looking this over and doing some measuring if i could sneek the new shaft in with out pulling the carrier and ring gear . Yes it can be done IF you clip the toe off one tooth of the pinion and that is what i did i took a disc grinder with a small cut off wheel and trimmed about .090 off the toe back about a 1/4 of and inch just enough to get the pin in going straight and rolled the spiders in then slid the washers under the just welded the new pin back in like they did on the last round . It will be back in the field tomorrow afternoon..

So what Number Rod was that weld, you think, used in there ? I know there is know way of knowing, but you have a guess?
