What kind of cultivator, what kind of tractor, what do you want to cultivate? Pictures help a bunch.

You don't give enough info for us to be very helpful! If you have a field cultivator, to use in lieu of a moldboard plow, then you just hook it up to your three point, sock it in the ground, and start tearing up the soil, IF you have the horsepower to do that! If you have a row crop cultivator, then you get into spacing your shovels for the row width, and also spread your tractor axles, and , or rear wheels, according to your row width. A fixed colter is very helpful, in the center of your cultivator, to stop side sway on a 3 pt hitch. Let us know what you have, and what you plan to use it for, and is your tractor a narrow, or wide front end!

sorry first timer here trying to post a pic so you folks can help me figure out what exactly i just bought. pic uploads but seems to not be working

ok pic is up and i could do more if needed.. as for what i am after?? i wanna do some row crop stuff.. potatoes and corn and basically a big garden. that being said this unit is kinda weird there are what looks like some kind of weed cutting blade then 4 discs and 3 shovels. like i say maybe a few more pics are needed but for now my thoughts are on what is its name and will i be able to get it on the back of my WD45 and what do i need to make that happen or do i need to get all farmer high tec on the thing and just make it work. i would prefer to be as close to factory as possible just because i am OCD

interesting piece you have there, someone on here will recognize what it is, :

attached are a couple of pictures that might help you,

one is a regular 2 row cultivator with snap couple hitch still in tack

the other is my old AC field cultivator with snap couple hitch cut off, someone then welded on a 3 pt hitch.
(got it at the scrap yard for free) great tool for working up the garden or truck patch

WD45 great tractor, snap couple equipment may be harder to come by as time goes on, back in the day I had a D14 with a lot of proper AC equipment but back then you could pick it up on the cheap as most folks switched over to 3 pt.

be sure to secure a good quality heavy duty 3pt hitch adapter for your tractor and you will be good to go'

safety note: make sure that snap couple hook under the tractor has good strong spring tension, you do not want the hook to come unlatched under load!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What you have is the right side of a "4 row front mount cultivator". That is going to take a lot work to make it a rear mount. Dan

Looks like you have half of a front mounted two row cultivator and half of something else made in to a rear mounted something.

I think you guys are right,
only picture I found was front half of a two row cultivator could not find a picture of a 4 row.

but the unit hitches to the front cross bar in the same way,

so i think you guys are right, he has 1/2 of a 4 row front cultivator and some other parts.

I believe I would just let it lay and look for something else made to fit the tractor, if you want to use it for cultivating your gardens and truck patch.
just my humble opinion.

I wonder if it isn't a front mounted lister or hiller. I agree, without the rest, you've got parts. Depending on your location, a snap coupler cultivator like the one in the pictures can be had for under $300. The front mount cultivators for a WD can be had for under $100, just make sure you have all the parts.

You have hillers and half wide sweeps so its for hilling and cultivating at the same time.looks like a piece of specialized vegetable equipment and agree with some of the others looks like
its the one half of a side mounted set up.

What"s in your truck is the right side of a two row front mount cultivator for a WD/WD45. I"ve never seen the double frame setup that is on the rear portion. Normally the two gangs are sprung independently, with no crossbars connecting them.

I think I finally found what you bought 1/2 of:

per the pictures caption, this is a 4 row front mount cultivator for a WD45

if it is what you bought, let us know, other wise I am stumped as to what you bought,
