Easy but odd HYd fix on D-17

So this afternoon I get a call from a guy who has a D-17 with a loader. He said he used it one day then parked it and hyds would do nothing. So went and looked it over and found a simple cotter pin missing so the hyds did not work. Loader runs off the internal pump so the hyd lever has to be up to give hyds to a 3 spoon valve and the linkage rod had fallen off so the control was doing nothing. Nice that is was such a simple fix.

Thanks for sharing that. Dad has a rule on troubleshooting stuff. "Think of the simplest, stupidest thing that can go wrong and start there." Those simple little fixes are the ones that drive me nuts, But I usually remember them.

I found it because I was looking for something out of place or something that had been moved which should be. When I saw that loose rod I then started moving things and saw where it should have gone and that is when 1 and 1 added up
