Allis B plow questions

Had broken the point on the B plow I have and have found and replaced it with another new unused one. I went to the field to complete plowing and set the plow in the same set up I used before the point broke. The plow cuts in the ground real good. To goo for the tractor. It bogs down and then I get wheel spin, have to stop and back up and start again. This clearly wasn't the case with the old plow point. I have adjusted the front lift arm up to hole three from the end and as well adjusted the handle to be as far up as possible. It should lift the plow some out of the ground so it's not so deep but I am still not seeing results that work. Maybe someone has gone through this issue and can help solve this problem. I've posted in the equipment section on Allis Forum as well the same message so you may see it both places if you look.

new plow lay must have more suck to it than the old 1. Is your plow running level front to back, side to side? If the front is running lower than the back or tiped to 1 side more the plow will tend to have more suck to it.

It has suck alright. It does go much deeper. I understand the generals of your response but I am not sure how to verify this on the single bottom plow. I've read that if I were to raise the land side up to where I am set up in the field in the furrow is the correct way to set the plow. Since this is a 14" bottom I should be 7(?) in the ground correct? if so I ought to be 7" up on the land side on the level to represent the furrow right? If so, and I have set it up that way how would I do my measurements? Point and land side should lay on the ground tipped forward with land side off ground (how much) or land side on ground and point up? I'm thinking land side up slightly. Also I need to be in line front to back on the beam to the tractor. Is that a measurement off the front side wall of the tire and then back or where? That would get me straight in line with the hitch point and the plow bottom. I can move the front side to side on the front beam but the back would swing if off the ground and would follow what the front is set to right? If so then what sets the back. It ought to run as hitched correct? Now leveling, where and how? What is level on the plow? top of beam? Point to ground? I am not sure.

One thing I did not mention is that the point I put on was a couple inches longer that the moldboard and does cut wider. I've been told that this wouldn't be an issue since it would be riding under the last furrow. Is that true if so ok if not what should be done? As well the new point is thicker than the other parts and the moldboard and shin are a bit setback from the point. I am assuming this would just wear to each other. If not should that be ground to be fairly level to each other?

Thanks for the reply. Much appreciated.
