Allis C problem

This problem has been going on for a while. I have an Allis C that I pull with. High rpm - get down the track a ways it starts to quit like its running out of gas. If it stalls it starts right away. I have a fuel bowl on it - 1/2 line to carb, cleaned the carb, had mag rebuilt, still doing it. Have not replaced plugs and wires yet. Anything else I should check? Thanks

I had the same problem with my C when I started pulling. I would take the power jet out and run a tag wire thru the orifice from the back side and pull again. I finally put an inline filter and never had the problem again. Not even with very high RPM's. I had also cleaned the tank several times and put a new screen in the sediment bowl.

At one point I took the sediment bowl out and had a elbow and inline filter and it was doing the same thing. So I put the sediment bowl back on and same thing. The tank is clean.

1)Check the float level and the float
2)Do away with the sediment bulb and put in a straight 3/8" pipe nipple and install a clear inline filter so you filter the gas and see what going thru
3)Put some sort of drain in the drain hole in the bottom of the carb and dump it each time before you pull.I like to put in a nipple, short piece of flex line and a small cut off so anything heavy like chips of metal will go down into the drain line and not into the jet.
4) Run the tractor pulling something before a pull for about an hour.
