RC- what's it worth?

I have an RC Allis Chalmers that is complete, but the motor is stuck. It was running about 5 years ago, sat in open sided pole shed with exhaust covered, but engine is tight now. Rear tires are decent shape, fronts are new. Grill and hood are straight, fenders ok. I'm selling some unneeded things, and this is one I'm considering letting go. Not all that many RC tractors out there, wondering what an estimate on worth might be in central MN?

Should be worth $800-$1000, but there is a guy on the other AC page who can't get $500 out of the one he is trying to sell. I really think they "collector" has been replaced by "user" and there isn't much use for those old RC/WC machines.

Aaron- a couple years before I bought the other one from you, I bought a complete, loose one on auction for around $1125. Had a saw on the front. It was advertised as a WC, and only 2-3 of us knew what it really was. I did get it running easily. First why not try some 50/50 ATF and acetone in the cyl...might loosen it up shortly. Also- I think you know Ron Gould, at Milaca- he"s be a good resource for price.

I paid $900 for a non runner about 10 years ago. About 5 years ago I sold another one that was nicely restored with all new tires, overhaul and paint for $2400. I had about $3500 in it. They have a "cute factor" to them but as said other than a few of us die hards not much interest in them.

If I had it I would fill the cylinders with ATF and let ti sit a week or so then try to spin it over. It is worth 2 or 3 times as much if you can make it run then it is as is. As it sits right now it is pretty much what ever scrap is worth maybe a tad bit more

I sure would like to have one!!! As to value I can't help much but have seen some sell on the low side even in running
condition.
