Does the D17 gas engine have valve guide seals?

Probably NOT, but it is good practice to install Umbrella Seals on the Intake stems...

D-17 gas engines never had intake or exhaust valve stem seals. Diesel versions did as I remember.

Thanks for the replies. I was thinking of putting on umbrella seals. Just like I used to put ford seals on my Chevy heads.

Those gas engines never needed them. Install them and the guides may not receive proper lube. They are not flooded with oil like a lot of automotive engines. Don't do it.
