CA Radiator

My CA radiator has begun leaking near the top. I have removed it and will take it to a radiator shop for evaluation and hopefully repair as it is the
original. However, if that fails, do any of you have experience buying a new radiator for these tractors? Does the version this site sells work well,
fit properly, etc.? Any other suppliers have particularly good replacements? Or bad ones to stay away from? Thanks.

If it was my tractor I'd look around and try to find a used one I think their made better than to days made in china stuff. Randy

I had a new core put in one for a B last all and the core came from a company in Maine that specializes in cores. I would think a CA would be the same. Some of the new radiators aren't as good as the originals, ran into this with a Model A ford last year. The replacement core I got had 4 rows of tubes, the original had 3. It cost but is a good repair. I am not saying all new replacements are not good, just watch out.

Dropped it off today at L & S in Richmond, VA. They do a lot of tractor radiators. We'll see how that goes. If they can repair it, I'll stick with that. If not, I'll have to buy a new one, but I'm going to try to get the old one repaired first. Thanks for replies. Still interested in knowing of any horror stories, like places NOT to buy one.

If you've got a good radiator shop you can probably get whatever you need through them. After being stuck with a sort-of-will-fit WD radiator from a cheap on line source, I would be inclined to deal with a place I could walk in and deal with face to face.
