WF rear hub seal renewall

my styled WF is leaking from the right hand rear hub seal I have obtained a new seal ready
I would like to know is it straight forward to fit and what is correct oil to refill hub

derwen; Did you get the newer style rubber seal? Yes it is very simple to change just a ring that is held on by nuts. As to what to refill with the original manual said to use 250 wt. Good luck finding any, I made up my own thick grease by mixing 80/90 with number two grease gun grease untill it looked right to me. The original seal in these was made from cork and I suspect they leaked sum from day one. When you put this seal on clean the threads on the hub that screw the grease back into the gear case. Also use grease on the new seal or else it will squeek from rubbing the hub dry.

Just an FYI- Hubs on the WC and WF are made in right and left hand versions. If you take both off at the same time, make sure you don"t interchange them. Or if yours is damaged, get the same side replacement. There is shallow spiral groove cut into the hub so it carries oil away from the seal, when driven forward.

I was able to order the new seal from the local massey ferguson dealer here in UK and they got it from the states so you should be able to get one but I don't have part number
