I rode along with a friend of mine to look at a tractor today. He didn't buy it.
The seller had a bunch of other old iron there. Mostly Massey Harris stuff.
He also had a Roto Baler there.
It looked complete as far as I could tell.
Don't know much about them.
You don't see them often here.
Anyway, I thought I would pass the info along. I could get his phone number if someone was interested. It's about an hour south of Minneapolis in Lonsdale, MN.

I had one of them years ago. I baled one cutting of hay with it an sold it as fast as I could. Never did like the thing and will never own one again unless it is given to me

Jerry- I was raised with one, picked one up by Lafayette some years ago. It"s a bit rough, needing belts, but complete. Very simple to adjust, but folks need to understand how to make a windrow for them. Twin curls, side by side...makes the bale even across its width. Narrow windrow will make lop-sided bales. Dad had two repairs on the baler in 17 years...same cast piece broke each time, got welded and worked again.

Dad used to do a lot of custom work with it...one neighbor expected a neighbor with a square baler to bale his, couldn"t get him, so raked the windrows together for Dad"s baler. Turned out fine.

There were tons of AC roto balers in my area...I baled many a bale with one as we had 18 acres of alfalfa...7-8 years ago I was able to buy a white top one that had only baled 1600 bales..

That's all dad had when I was home. This was the only machine that didn't seem wear out. The only thing that broke was the brake band down on the lower right hand corner. As soon as I left home dad went to a New Holland bale wagon and square baler.
